UK Artist Residency Programme
The British Council invites UK-based artists to apply for an immersive residency in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain, supporting artistic research, experimentation, and cross-cultural exchange. This programme builds on our long-standing presence in the Gulf and contributes to the cultural momentum leading toward Vision 2030 and upcoming international cultural events.
The UK Artist Residency Programme offers artists the opportunity to work closely with local hosts, including cultural institutions, creative hubs, festivals, and heritage centres, to explore new ideas, collaborate with local practitioners, and engage with new audiences. Each residency must include a public sharing or a documented artistic output.
