The British Council’s Film Touring Programmes offer free collections of short and feature films, many of them award-winning, that explore a range of themes and showcase UK talent. They have been curated with a variety of UK film industry partner organisations and range from documentary, drama, and animation, to award-winning short and feature films, and include films exploring different themes or targeting specific audiences. All programmes are available for non-profit, cultural screenings only, this means that admission must be free unless otherwise approved.
Film touring programmes are available for regular festivals or film screening events. You can screen single films, a selection of films, and mix films from different programmes, but please note that the rights we have are all for British Council-credited screenings.

BAFTA 2025/26
The BAFTA 2025/26 shorts programme is a selection of live action and animated short films which were all nominated for the 2025 BAFTA awards, along with the winners in each category.
Climate Stories Playlist
A collection of international short films about the environment and climate crisis, in partnership with Doc Society and the BFI. Arabic subtitled version available soon.
Defiant Documentaries
Inspiring Grierson Award-nominated documentary stories that defy the status quo or uncover untold truths. A touring programme of seven feature length documentary films presented in partnership with The Grierson Trust. A programme guide is available on request. Arabic subtitled versions available soon.
STORIES
A collection of inspiring short documentaries capturing stories of love, resilience, community, place, friendship and resistance. Through a dazzling journey across the world, these films question and explore our current shared reality from multiple different perspectives.
British Council Film Archive Collection
A series of public information films made by the British Council from 1940-1945, offering fascinating, curious, and sometimes funny insights, into war-time Britain.
